What We Believe Adopted 10 March 2002 - We are confident that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error.
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 2A. We acknowledge the Creator — God — as our heavenly Father, infinitely perfect, and intimately acquainted with all our ways. 2B. We claim Jesus Christ as LORD — the very God who came in human flesh — the object of our worship and the subject of our praise. 2C. We recognize the Holy Spirit as the third member of the Godhead, incessantly at work convicting, convincing, and comforting.
- We believe that Adam’s fall into sin left humanity without the hope of heaven apart from a new birth, made possible by the Savior’s death and bodily resurrection.
- We believe the offer of salvation is God’s love-gift to all. Those who accept it by faith, apart from works, become new creatures in Christ.
- We believe that anyone who trusts in Christ by faith is a new creation in Him — clothed in His righteousness and fully loved and accepted by God.
- We believe that God expects our lives to reflect that we belong to Him and that we are pursuing a holy life.
- We believe that satan, under the sovereign permission of God, tries to destroy the faith of believers and that drawing near to God is the only way to resist him.
- We believe that as new creations in Christ we will continue to wrestle with our sin nature. We will, however, continue to grow in grace and become more like Jesus. Ultimate perfection and freedom from sin, however, will come only when we finally stand in the presence of the LORD.
- We believe that, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are members of His universal church and that the local church is the place God has designed for His people to worship Him, observe the ordinances of baptism and the LORD’s Table, and love other Christians.
- We believe that, having embraced Jesus Christ by faith, we are to make Him known to non-Christians in our sphere of influence.
- We anticipate our LORD’s promised return in power and glory. We are convinced that all who have died will be brought back from beyond — believers to everlasting communion with God and unbelievers to everlasting separation from God

Your online searches and purchases can now generate funds in support of Ghanaian church planters, like Pastor Koby who continues his work (with which I was involved during my 2007 mission trip to Ghana), reaching into remote villages where the Gospel of Jesus Christ has never been heard! Here's how it works: If you go to www.isearchigive.com you can register, download a yahoo-powered search engine to your Internet explorer and designate The LIGHT Center for Family Enrichment as your cause. (You can also decide to get a receipt of your donations for tax purposes). Once that is done, whenever you want to look up information on the Internet, use the isearchigive search engine and you will be donating 1 penny to the LIGHT Center. All proceeds from these searches will be sent to Pioneers Africa to help Ghanaian church planters. IF you also like to shop online, you can go to www.igive.com through the gift box link above. If you shop though igive.com after that (at any one of more than 690 stores) a percentage of the sale will also be donated to the LIGHT Center for Ghanaian church planters. For those who prefer old-fashioned giving,The LIGHT Center will accept tax-deductible donations. A simple way to do this is by simply collecting change from all cash transactions made during the month and sending a check in the amount of that change to The LIGHT Center for Family Enrichment 211 Washington Circle LaGrange, KY 40031-1295. For example: you buy something for $35.47 and you pay with $40.00 in cash, you will receive $4.53 change. Put the $4.00 back in your wallet for your next purchase. Put the 53 cent in a zip pocket of your purse, or where ever you want to, until you get home. At home, have a special place to keep your loose change. Once a month, convert your loose change to a check. It won't take long for us to become a GREAT help to our brothers in Ghanaian church planting work. To see the ministry of Pastor Koby in action, Please go to http://lucidphoto.ca/Pioneers Click on 'video' under the *updates *column. Then click on 'WALK' but you may need to download quicktime player to be able to play the clip. Thank you for your support of this Great Commission work! By the Way a little bit goes a LONG way. $50 will provide one month's ministry expenses for a Ghanaian church planter; $200 will pay a month's salary for a Ghanaian church planter!
